St Michael’s Church, Teddington – Hall regeneration

St Michael’s was closed for 15 years and fell derelict. The vision is to transform the hall into a revitalised, fully accessible hub for the local community. Some local groups use the room but only able to provide limited access, simply because the space is not ‘fit-for-purpose’. Four vital elements of the community hall which are a new accessible toilet, a disabled lifting platform, a kitchenette and a contribution towards the mechanical and electrical services for the community hall. There is a lack of accessible community facilities and a recent survey showed a clear desire to see more care for vulnerable people, alongside more activities for children. Our well attended mother and toddler group however often closes its doors, leaving people outside, due to insufficient space.
