St Michael's Lych Gate Restoration

The Lych Gate at St Michael’s is also a WW1 War Memorial. The Memorial was erected in 1920 by public subscription. The base timber of the Memorial have deteriorated significantly and the aim of this project is to replace those timbers, thus restoring the structure to its original condition and ensure that it remains safe and accessible to all. The PCC wish to restore the Lych Gate Monument ready for 2014 in the light of the 100th year anniversary of the commencement of World War 1.
