To develop the church into a multi-functional community building, through providing toilet and simple kitchen facilities. These will be contained in a small extension on the footprint of the porch on the south side of the church. The existing porch will be carefully dismantled and re-erected on the north side of the church, where there was a porch until 1884. The LCF funding will be used to cover the structural new build costs. St Nicolas Church is Grade II* listed.The project will retain the character of the building, so that it can be used as community meeting space which is fit for purpose for everyone in the village and local area to use on a regular basis, accessible to all and available for use throughout the week. This will also assist greatly in reducing isolation and loneliness for many people in this rural village.
