St Patrick's Ball Wall

This project proposes the installation of a multi-functional Wall Ball Area at the School to promote physical activity, inclusive play, and community engagement. The Wall Ball Area will serve as a much-needed dynamic space for pupils and the wider community to develop motor skills, coordination, and teamwork through games such as throwing, catching, and aiming. It will be integrated into School PE lessons, break-time and afterschool’s activities to support physical and emotional wellbeing within the School. A key focus is inclusion for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The Wall Ball Area will feature adjustable height targets, tactile surfaces, and visual cues to support sensory engagement, motor development, and accessible play. It will provide a safe outlet for energy and help regulate emotions through calming, repetitive activities. Beyond school hours, the Wall Ball Area will be open to the local community, offering a safe, engaging space for families and children to play and connect. It will encourage healthy lifestyles, reduce anti-social behaviour, and strengthen community ties.
