St Peter ad Vincula Church, South Newington – Reception Area

On entering the church through the main door the immediate area is congested. This causes problems when people are entering/leaving the church and does not allow for an area for informal gatherings. The area includes the font (oldest part of the church). It is planned to open the area up by removing remnants of pews removed many years ago, and two raised timber platforms, together with the rear length of one pew and a second pew in the south aisle.
