St Peter’s Church, Levenshulme – West Window Restoration

The West Window of the church, which is a Grade 2 listed building, is in need of replacement and repair. It is unstable in high winds and rainwater enters the building through it. The mullions need to be replaced and a fifth of the tracery needs to be replaced. The glazing requires maintenance.
The contractors’ costs excluding contingency, preliminaries and VAT.

The window is integral to the fabric of the building which is both a place of worship and a community resource. The rear part of the church is a community area which we use for a “Drop In” with Credit Union, a weekly venue for a Winter Night Shelter for homeless as well as other activities.
