St Peter’s Playground, Burnham – Play Area Improvements (006220)

An ambitious project to transform a neglected footpath and playground in Burnham. Footpath 57 is a highly-used route, and is the only direct access for walkers, connecting residents from the south of Burnham with the village centre, shops, health centre, schools, village hall, parks and playgrounds. It’s also a main walking route for children attending Burnham Park Academy. It borders to the east St Peter’s Close playground with ageing facilities and an area of disused, neglected, and overgrown land.

The project will transform the playground; provide a new wild play area in the disused scrub land; increase the safety of the footpath and reduce antisocial behaviour and crime; and improve the attractiveness of the footpath and playground.
