St Philip’s Church Hall – Disabled Facilities

A survey of the church and the hall in preparation for the Disability Discrimination Act highlighted the fact that the toilet facilities and access into the hall needed replanning and replacing. Disabled, elderly and infirm people regularly use the hall and the present facilities and access present serious difficulties to them. These facilties include a WC for wheel chair users of both sexes with its own entrance. The proposed male facilities provide easier access for elderly and infirm to the urinals and WCs and easier access to washbasins. Also an external access ramp to the hall entrance is to be provided.
