St Richard’s Church Centre, Birmingham – Community space refurbishment (006959)

St Richard’s Church Centre is an important local hub in the middle of a large area of housing with very high levels of deprivation and limited resources. In 2019 funds were raised to create a new multi purpose area in the church centre to create a community lounge, storage rooms and new entrance to improve access for the general public. However funding for the adjoining kitchen, toilets, office space on this floor level was not available at the time and will be delivered as part of this project.

This project will install toilets, kitchen, office space, flooring, partitioning, ceilings and a new drainage system to complete the 2019 project. This project is needed to meet the needs of the community including providing toilets on the lower ground floor so the nursery, which runs in the building, can increase its hours to full time and so the building can be used by different community groups at the same time.
