St Vincent’s Community Hub, Sheffield – Roof Repairs, Community Kitchen and Wildlife Wall (008080)

The project will refurbish the Centre into a warm, comfortable and welcoming space that keeps community at its heart. St Vincent’s Sheffield has been operating for over 30 years to deliver free essential furniture to those in need locally. Over time, the needs of those we help have grown and become more complex. In response the applicant has developed to provide food parcels, upcycling workshops, a low-cost bric-a-brac and furniture shop, arts and crafts groups and person-centred support workers for beneficiaries who need further help.

Based on Queens Road in Sheffield for over 10 years, our centre has served well primarily as a depot for storing furniture for our free deliveries. Yet, as our charitable work has diversified, the needs for our space have changed at the same time. With funding support, we will make our Centre a more welcoming space, able to accommodate more people and provide more activities and services

The project aims to redevelop 2 community and volunteers kitchens, roof repairs and installing a Wildlife wall and river viewing platform.
