Other external works include dropped kerbs for accessibility and improvements to the garden. The poor details of the bell beading on the gable ends and missing pointing cause leaks in the Victorian building, which affect the use of the spaces and contribute to unhealthy environment, where damp appears around windows. Internal works include redecoration of affected areas and replacing the automatic doors to aid accessibility. The aim project is to make the community centre more accessible, greener and safer, providing healthier environment for the many communities who use the facilities.
