Staghills Road, Rossendale – Play Area

This project aims to renovate a derelict play area in the community. Locally, there is not a free, safe play area for the large number of children/families that live there. The site is waterlogged, used as an exercise area for dogs and equipment is dangerous and not fit-for-purpose.

Demand for this has been driven by local people concerned about both children and elderly residents having no safe outside space to enjoy. There has been lots of consultation and there has been an overwhelming positive response to plans.
