Stainton Cricket Club Nets

Stainton Cricket Club is based at the village recreation ground, near Penrith, and is a focus for the community as the only outdoor team sport operating in the village. Sunday afternoon matches are popular with spectators and, as well as adult participation, there is a regular junior team. The club is keen to attract more young players to become involved in the sport. The project aims to erect permanent practice nets that can be used by the club and by casual visitors to the recreation ground. This will assist in training players across the age range in greater safety.
