An audience development plan has identified local residents priorities for the site, usage and aspirations for the site. This has led to St Helens Council securing Heritage Lottery Fund to develop the site. Key elements of the work will include: Improving links to the wider rights of way network Improving access for local users Improving the visitor centre through new interpretation and educational resources Improving interpretation to enable local people to navigate the site and understand the site. Improving wildlife habitats through conservation events allowing a range of habitats to be enhanced Increasing local understanding through ongoing activities on site with local schools and groups
