Stanley Park Playground Refurbishment

Stanley Park is a much loved Grade II listed and Green Flag Award winning regional green space which attracts over two million visitors every year. The park contains the two largest play sites in the North West. One play site contains a timber adventure playground which is designed for older children from nine years to fourteen years. The other play site is designed for children from 2 years to eight years and is in a dreadful state of repair, with aging and run down equipment, unsafe surfacing and tired infrastructure. There are few places for families to sit and the majority of the equipment within the site has been removed due to its aging condition.Blackpool Council and the Friends of Stanley Park are working in partnership to create a new family focussed facility which is sustainable, attractive and fun for children between the ages of 2 – 8.
