Station House, Cheshire – Community Cafe (006172)

Whitegate and Marton is a rural parish with very few local facilities. The Parish has a Church, a school and a public house, but has no shop and, until Whitegate Station café opened, also had no café. There are very few employment opportunities in the parish.

The main objective for the Whitegate Station project is to provide a new purpose for Whitegate Station which preserves its identity and provides much needed leisure and recreational facilities, primarily for the benefit of local residents but also for visitors to the area,
