Stockwood Bike Park – Community Clubhouse Unit

The aim of this project is to provide a high quality, secure and robust community clubhouse unit for the newly refurbished Stockwood Bike Park in one of Bristol’s most disadvantaged and underserved communities. The new Stockwood Bike Park is an exciting, innovative and free to use facility built on Stockwood Open Space. The facility encompasses an asphalt jump and pump track, community social space, equipment storage and accessible path, creating a community asset that can be used by all wheels, and riders of all ages and abilities.
The current storage container onsite is an extra secure SiteSafe storage unit suitable for storing all the necessary equipment needed to run community sessions at the track, including bikes, helmets, coaching equipment and first aid. However, there is currently no space on the site for volunteers, participants, coaches and parents to congregate, whether that is to get shelter from bad weather, plan a cycling session, bike maintenance or as a club meeting space.
