Stoke Camp Nature Reserve, Draycott – Fencing

Removal of the existing fence line, which is in poor condition and installation of new fencing.
Removal and installation of 800m of fence.
Stoke Camp is 11 ha of limestone grassland which they manage principally for Small Blues – an endangered species of Butterfly. The main focus of management is to produce the sward structure and composition needed by the Small Blues which depend on Kidney Vetch. In winter the site is grazed by cattle and sometimes also by sheep so as to reduce the dominance of the grasses and enable the Kidney Vetch and other butterfly food plants to flourish.
