Stratford St Mary Lock Gate Renewal, The River Stour Trust

This is a project to restore Stratford St Mary Lock on the River Stour. At present, the RST’s electric boats cannot pass through the lock at Stratford St Mary due to the lock gates being in an advanced state of decay; they are the original gates built in the early 1930s. Once the lock gates are replaced, boats, and thus the public, will have access to a further 1.75 miles of stunning river with all the flora, fauna and wild life that it supports.
