Stretford Public Hall, Greater Manchester – Ballroom renovation (006895)

The aim of the project is to restore Stretford Public Hall in to a multi-purpose community venue, run and owned by the Stretford community. Stretford has suffered considerable decline over the past 20 years and the restoration of Stretford Public Hall, which lies at the heart of the town centre, can play a vital role in bringing life back to Stretford. The success of the project rests on the successful renovation of the building’s beautiful, historic Ballroom. Restoring the Ballroom will modernise the space, making it more accessible for those with disabilities and more suitable for a wide range of creative, social and health-focused events and activities.

LCF funds will contribute towards the installation of two kitchenette areas in the Ballroom.
