Stroudwater Textiles – Gigg Mill, Dye Plant Garden

The access is from a public footpath across a piece of overgrown, derelict land. The plan is to construct a dye plant garden either side of the path with 4 raised beds for specialist plants and an informally planted area blending with the natural habitat. All plants used are indigenous species and local materials will be used. Nothing of a permanent (eg concrete ) nature will be used and re-cycling will be in evidence. The project is collaborative, using some volunteers from the Nelson Trust (substance mis-use charity) as part of a re-hab, programme
