Stubshaw Cross Heritage Garden, Stubshaw Cross Residents Group

This is a project to restore a former rest garden (circa 1930’s) to a heritage garden for public use. The proposed development will sympathetically recreate the ambience of the original garden on this site, with the layout consisting of a boundary wall topped by railings and integrated decorative steel panels, an inner area of paving with four seating bays, and a central plinth with timber cross. The cross will have protective railings and will be surrounded by a bed of low growing shrubs and annual bedding plants. The cross will replace one that stood on or close to the site in former times.
