Sustainable Drainage for Barley Village Green and picnic site.

Barley Village is a popular visitor attraction in East Lancashire for walkers and day trippers to the Forest of Bowland and Pendle Hill area of outstanding natural beauty. The village green and picnic site floods after period of heavy rain preventing access to and through the village green. The project will realign and raise the levels of the footpath through the green and also install drainage to the village green to outfall to Pendle Water. The scheme has been designed to release the flood water slowly to reduce the potential for any downstream flooding.
