Sustainable Heating Project

BAC's Cafe/Bar and Waiting Room are two attached public spaces by the front entrance to our building. The cafe/bar is busy 7 days a week 10am-11pm hosting music events, informal meetings, audiences, parents picking up children from workshops etc. The Waiting Room is a public space used for meetings by local voluntary groups in the evening and children and their carers during the daytime. BAC wants to install a wood chip/biomass burner in both of these spaces enabling us to create a warm and welcoming environment in the winter using a low carbon heating method. Fuel will come from sustainable sources which over the long term are deemed to be carbon neutral due to carbon absorption by the living trees/plants.
