Sutton Community Farm, Nr Croydon – Habitat Enhancement (2889/D)

The project aims to restore and enhance habitats and demonstrate exemplary biodiversity measures at London’s largest community farm. Specifically to implement the following measures:

• Design and build 5 pond habitats
• Plant 10 fruit trees
• Increase number of bird and bat boxes
• Establish a number of log pile habitats

Improve accessibility and attract more visitors and volunteers by:

• Creating 400m footpaths & signage to make the farm more accessible for visitors and volunteers
• Build two raised beds to enable disabled volunteers to participate in growing
• Promoting biodiversity themed volunteering opportunities
• Holding organised Nature Walks and Farm Tours

The Trust grant will contribute towards biodiversity improvements.
