Swanland Pond Reclamation Project Part 2

The overall aim of the project is to reclaim the village pond for both native wildlife and the village community. This project aims to continue this process by:
Sealing a leak on the ponds east side. This is persistent and in current draught conditions requires urgent attention.
Create a designated marshy area to attract and retain amphibians, dragonflies, damselflies etc. plus other visiting insects and birds. The area will be planted with native aquatic plants that are appropriate to the location.
Construct a dipping area for the village primary school and villages to use. To facilitate and encourage interest/education in the pond now and in the future.
