Swanland Pond Reclamation Project Part 3

The aim of the project is to complete work to improve the visual and wildlife value of Swanland Pond by undertaking essential repairs to the pond wall to prevent water loss. (Only half of the grant funding available for this project was applied for in 2012.We are now applying for the remaining funds necessary to complete the repairs and seal the leak.) There has been a marked deterioration in the pond wall since 2012 and water loss has increased. Repairs will need to be more substantial than originally expected including the insertion of a waterproof “membrane” within the new wall.
