Swillington in Bloom – Planters

Swillington in Bloom was established in May 2002 with the aim of improving the appearance of the village and encouraging community pride and involvement. The group has responsibility for a number of flower beds around Swillington, including five planters on the village Green. Unfortunately the planters, which have been in use for several years, are now deteriorating and are no longer fit for purpose.

The project involves the purchase of six new wooden planters to be replace the existing ones. These will be maintained by Swillington in Bloom and will form part of the floral tribute to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in the village.
