Swindon & Cricklade Railway – Resurfacing Paths

Cut and key out old surfaces along pathway around new shop/ticket office building up to public toilet areas (Old Codgers Siding), sweep out and remove existing rough surface, clean and prepare area, apply bonding tack then surface with tarmac to a depth of 35-40mm then compact.
As above on path from carpark to foot crossing including breaking out high areas of existing tarmac damaged by roots of a now dead (and removed) tree.

The Health and Safety Department have identified trip hazards and potential difficulty for wheelchair users and children’s prams and buggies.

The project will significantly improve access to the site and facilities, particularly for disabled visitors and those with young children. We expect positive feedback from returning visitors
