SWT Enhancing Recreational Opportunities in Urban Greenspace - Northside Wood

This project will implement phase 2 of enhancements to Northside Wood in Cumbernauld. The purpose of which is to meet increase demand for access to the wood, as a consequence of recent residential developments and demand for walking, jogging and cycle routes. The project will implement the main contract works of: • upgrading the remaining spur links to the primary track in Northside Wood; and • upgrade a ‘core path’ link; • improve links to Miller homes housing development which will promote sustainable placemaking.
