Syke Methodist Church, Rochdale – New Community Area

It takes out the tiered fixed pews to be replaced with a single level multi use area, raising the low ceiling in the room below. It will create a useable room, provide a disabled ramp and lift, new foyer and suitable toilets. The purpose is to double our current 350 users per week.

Syke church and Syke Community Base have now worked together for 5 years providing 9am – 9pm activities for 350 people per week in a local community which is in the lowest 8% deprivation group. We are at capacity yet being asked to provide other activities. This project will double our provision.
