Tackley Heath pond restoration

The aim of the project is to restore the heath pond which has become overgrown with willow scrub so it is excessively over shaded, limiting the biodiversity. Tackley Heath is a Local Wildlife Site held in Trust by Tackley Parish Council. It is well-used and loved by residents of Tackley and further afield. The pond has been inaccessible from the heath for quite some time due to tree and scrub growth. Overgrown willow has shaded the pond and, over the last 20 years, the biodiversity of the pond has reduced significantly.
