Tarka Valley Railway King Point

Purchase of a King Point to link the main track with the sidings.The ‘King Point’ is the critical part of the track allowing trains access to another line. The ‘King Point’ lies on the main line and is of main line standard. It has to meet certain technical specifications in relation to the weight of the track and the size and speed of the carriages hoping to run on the track. The project will enable fuller use of the Tarka Valley Railway allowing additional trains to run and provide extra volunteering opportunities and an enhanced leisure attraction.
