Tarporley Done Room

To upgrade the fabric of The Done Room in Tarporley, a church hall originally built in 1636.
Works include
? Re-roofing, including stripping off the existing roof, insulating with a breathable membrane, putting the slates back on and replacing where necessary
? Renew the gable ends including external timber framing and infill panels
? Re-point external stone and brick-facing materials
? Waterproof an outbuilding (used for storage)
The Done Room has been in existence for nearly 400 years and continues to help serve the community, especially its younger residents. The improvements will contribute to providing an attractive and welcoming environment for regular community activities available during the daytime, evenings and weekends and ensure the building remains for future use.
