The key objectives of the project are:

To enable the opportunity for Burton RFC to utilise a large area of the 33 acres immediately for playing and training throughout the week with a focus on mini junior boys and girls

To overcome the current situation where matches are regularly postponed due to pitch availability and flooding

To develop the relationship with the newly built school (opening Sept 2018) to encourage use of sporting facilities to promote health and well being of children primarily in the first instance but all adults from all demographics in the future.

This will also include tennis and cricket clubs who will also be part of this sporting hub to commence using the facility early
