Tawd Valley Community Outdoor Classroom, Skelmersedale

The project will locate a modular portacabin type building on the edge of Tawd Valley country park Skelmersedale. The building will be used as a base for community groups, school, uniformed organisations and the Friends of Tawd valley Park visiting the country park for outdoor education activities and volunteer work parties. The building will also be used as small scale venue for community groups and organisation to use for activities and events. Tawd Valley Country Park is 3km long and currently visiting groups and organisations have no toilet or wet weather facilities available which is viewed as a barrier to using the park for organised activities.

The project costs include: classroom installation, composting toilet unit, fencing and service.
