Taylor Avenue Woods

Taylor Avenue Wood, 2.347ha was planted in 1975. It is currently neglected and unmanaged. Edgeside and District Residents Association (ESDRA) plan to transform the area by improving access, and making the wood a welcoming place suitable for recreation and educational purposes.
The project will involve improvements to pathways, tree management and habitat creation through community involvement.
The project is divided into 2 phases.
1) Pathway improvements covered by £9764 Breathing Places funding.
2) Further physical improvements in the woodland and community activities on site. These will be ongoing for 18 months and detailed in our application
