Tayock (Montrose Basin) – Regeneration Project

The project aims to take this rundown area of scrubland and turn it into an area for recreation and relaxation where people can enjoy and learn about the wildlife that can be found on their doorstep. This will involve the management of invasive species and planting of trees and a Wildflower Meadow. A hide will be installed so that people can enjoy watching the wildlife, and signage and interpretation will be installed to assist with this. Tayock is unusual in that it is set within an urban environment but links directly into a rural area rich in biodiversity, i.e. Montrose Basin.
