Tean Valley Meadow Nature Reserve Woodland Shelter Sustainable Energy

Established in 2019, Tean Valley Meadow Nature Trust was set up to maintain and develop the nature reserve of the same name. The reserve includes acres of natural planted woodland, a large wildflower meadow, a wetland area and is a haven for East Staffordshire’s wildlife. The Trust also run courses/activities from a woodland shelter on the site. There is no mains electricity to the site and whilst battery tools are used, generators are sometimes necessary. This project is to install an ECO-WORTHY solar panel system on the roof of the woodland shelter along with a Wind Power Turbine generator, both will cover all weather conditions with power being stored in a Lithium battery pack. Lighting to the whole of the workshop will be by COB LED super bright lighting tape fed from the battery pack. This project will provide power for tools and the shelter enabling activities to be held throughout the seasons.
