Teesdale Way Improvement Works

The project would include the removal of all flytipping and debris.Hard landscaping would improve access by repairing damage to surfacing caused by flytippers and vehicles involved in removal of the waste. Habitat improvements would include woodland management and new planting to create a native tree mix. The site has been identified by the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust as having potential for Grayling Butterflies, with the adjacent railway track acting as a linking corridor. Other improvements would include creating a wildflower area and a new access control to prevent unauthorised vehicular access and flytipping. A leaflet will promote the improved route and provide local heritage and wildlife information
