Tennis court resurfacing

We plan to resurface 3 of our 6 artificial flood-lit grass courts (laid in 1996) and address issues with the underlying sub-base which have affected the playing surface. We favour a modern low-maintenance, high bouncing artificial grass carpet that will benefit beginners’ tennis, coaching activities and those playing with limited mobility. Although not part of this application, we plan to install automated gate control and improve court access to allow the community to easily use the facilities.

The normal life for this type of an artificial grass court is between 15-20 years so we have had very good use out of them—due in no small part to our diligent maintenance and regular rejuvenation programme. However, the situation regarding the underlying sub-base cannot be remedied through rejuvenation – it has to be addressed from the base upwards requiring a new substructure and carpet surface.
