Tennis Section (Portknockie Bowling Club) Refurbishment of Tennis Courts

Aims of the Tennis Section (Portknockie Bowling Club) are to refurbish the Tennis Courts (adjacent to the Bowling Club, at Seafield Terrace, Portknockie. The courts and bowling club grounds were originally owned by Moray Council – but the Tennis Courts fell into disrepair through lack of maintenance. Moray Council have leased the land used for the Bowling Green and the Tennis Courts to the Bowling Club. In early 2014 the Tennis Section was formed to progress the Tennis Court project involving the refurbishment of the courts and enhancement of the immediate area. A new Constitution has been formed for the Tennis Section, to be formally adopted at AGM 27th April 2015. The project will assist the completion of the refurbishment of the courts with signage, cleaning, re-painting of the courts and erection of a small storage and office facility. The initial phase of the project has involved the erection of new perimeter fencing around 2 courts establishing security to allow the completion phases to be completed.
