Tentsmuir Revised Interpretation Plan: Implementation Phase II: Outhead

This project is a distinct component of Phase II of the Tentsmuir Interpretation Plan.
Phase I, part funded by FET, will be completed by May 2008. This application concerns a distinct component of Phase II of the project: to install an Orientation, Interpretation, and Viewing Platform at the Outhead Gateway to the Tentsmuir complex. A fully accessible, low profile, platform will be installed at the end of West Sands road at the entrance of Eden Estuary LNR. The platform will provide visitors with an excellent view across the Eden Estuary to Tentsmuir Forest and NNR, an opportunity to view seals and other wildlife on the Estuary, and orientation to the Tentsmuir complex, interpretation of the Eden Estuary, its dynamic environment, the challenges posed by coastal erosion and sea level rise, the Bylaws of the LNR, and seasonal behavioural messages to guide visitors.
