To restore the canal’s junction with the Thames and build a 150 metre length of new waterway into a flooded gravel pit leading to visitor moorings 400 metres from the Thames. In due course this new section will be extended and linked with a restored canal leading to Swindon and to the Kennet & Avon Canal at Melksham
