Thames & Severn Canal Linear Park

This project will see the design and creation of a park acting as a gateway to the newly restored Thames & Severn Canals.

The park will include access works including a pedestrian bridge and towpath improvements as well as community designed arts and interpretation.

The canal corridor is home to some of the most access deprived wards in the county. This park will encourage the community to use the canal as a footpath and cycle path through their community, linking the rural and urban without having to cross busy roads.

The arts and interpretation will be interactive and will reflect the history and importance of the site to local, regional and national heritage.
