Thamesmead Canal Habitat Improvement – Phase 2 Expansion

The project builds on the improvements delivered to the Crossways Canal in Thamesmead in Phase 1, using it as a spring board for a wider programme of community volunteer events and improvements across the canal network. This will include waterway clean-ups, planting, and vegetation and wildlife habitat management activities. These activities will further develop the community’s interest, involvement and benefits achieved in Phase 1 throughout the Thamesmead region.
