The Addy Eco Garden

The aim of this project is to develop a strip of wasteland next to the Addy Young People’s Centre as an eco garden where young people can learn how to grow, look after and harvest vegetables, herbs and fruits. The Addy Young People’s centre is a recently built centre that is dedicated to youth provision in Wythenshawe. It is open from 9am to 9pm and provides activities for young people aged 5- 19. The site is currently open to the public but has suffered from fly tipping and needs to be cleared and levelled before the eco garden can start to take shape.
