The Aldingbourne Barn

To build a barn in order to provide indoor activities at Aldingbourne Country Centre for visitors throughout the year. The barn will be home to a number of activities focussing on important messages about food, farming and nutrition for young learners and people with learning disabilities.

The barn on the Open Farm will provide an indoor space for visitors to spend time in all weathers. As well as indoor activities such as animal petting and husbandry, the barn will provide educational resources on food, farming and the natural environment.

As a social enterprise supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, this project provides additional facilities to carry out our work but also will enable more people to visit throughout the year who will be served by people with learning disabilities and autism. People will see first hand what people we support can and do achieve and social barriers will be broken down.
