The Alice Cross Centre, Teignmouth – Lift Refurbishment

Refurbishment of lift to allow users to access the five rooms on the first and second floors. In addition, to make better use of the facilities, they plan to move podiatry to the second floor, allowing the creation of a Community Cafe and Kitchen on the ground floor.
They would use this funding solely for the whole refurbishment of the lift as it is currently dangerous and unusable. Their volunteers will be able to complete the remainder of the project using their own funds.
Under the Equality Act 2010, they have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to allow public access to the whole of the building. Without the project, some clients are unable to access massage, therapy, counselling and podiatry services on the upper floors, services they want to have access to.
