The Barn and Signal Box: Supply of heating and hot water systems and external cladding

The overall project involves the renovation and restoration of two buildings at Olivers Meadow; a dilapidated barn and an ex-signal box in order that both can be utilised as community buildings.Members of three user groups, The Bognor Regis Model Railway Club (BRMRC), the Barnham Signal Box Trust (BSBT) and the Barnham Trojans Football Club (BTFC), together with the Trustees of the ACSC have jointly undertaken this work. The barn, before work began, was used only as a dumping area. It was in a poor state of repair and was being considered for demolition. The Signal Box was rescued from demolition and moved to the site in December 2009. Unfortunately after a year of work is was 60% destroyed in an arson attack. The work on both buildings has progressed to a stage where the installation of heating and hot water systems need to be undertaken. Integral to this particular project is the insulation and cladding of the barn against both loss of heat and to prevent noise polution to nearby domestic dwellings.
